Job Overview
Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Senior Software Engineer (C#, API) to join our team. In this role, you will work in an Agile Scrum team to support development of the browser- native version of Applied Epic with API development for Epic. You will collaborate with Architects, Product Owners, and Scrum team members to deliver high quality technical solutions that answer our clients' business requirements. We are looking for developers to deliver well-written, enterprise scale applications.
What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with your team on development and testing to deliver new features and APIs
  • Solve technical problems and mentor others by sharing technical knowledge
  • Provide comprehensive feedback in design reviews and code reviews
  • Assess the impact of changes to identify opportunities and risks
  • Lead technical projects, share updates, and receive input
  • Author code aligned with internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices. Advocate for alignment with standards through code review
  • Collaborate with Application Architects to confirm technical solutions
  • Contribute to documentation to support design discussions


What You'll Need to Succeed
We're looking for someone who:

  • Can work remotely or from an Applied Systems office.


Your experience should include some or all of the following:

  • 5 + years of professional experience building web applications, web services, REST API development experience
  • Experience with C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL Server
  • Experience with Git source repositories
  • Experience with API Management tools like Apigee or similar
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • K nowledge of Agile frameworks, ideally Scrum, and tools like Jira and Confluence
  • A bility to communicate in a team-oriented environment to clarify requirements and deliver solutions within committed timelines
  • A bility to provide feedback on coding standards through code reviews
  • P roven technical abilities, troubleshooting skills, and research abilities
  • B achelor-level degree in Computer Science, MIS, or CIS, or equivalent experience
