This Baking Co-Op will assist the technical team in the kitchen. This program will expose inspiring bakers to various industry customer channels, baking principles, and techniques. In addition, there will be extensive hands-on work focused on Dawn Foods Manufactured products as well as commodities.
Schedule: This position typically follows a traditional Monday through Friday schedule. While most workdays adhere to standard hours, there may be occasions that require earlier start times or later end times to meet business needs.
Compensation: This role offers $24 per hour with eligibility for overtime pay.
What You'll Do as a Baking Co-Op

  • Shadow and learn from a seasoned Technical Sales & Service Representatives (TSR) in real world bakery settings including multiple customers, channels and environments.
  • Assist in baking various products following recipes and guidelines and support the team in the Kitchen
  • Measuring and combining ingredients and safely using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as cookies, bread, cakes, etc.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment
  • Adhere to food safety standards and procedures
  • Engage and interact with other teams to continuously improve knowledge of the industry and region
  • To organize raw materials /finished products and stand displays when required
  • Any other tasks/assignments that may be assigned
  • Gain a full set of skills around Dawn ingredients. This experience will be "hands on"
  • Demonstrate the "Dawn Values" of Team Dawn and support our culture throughout the duration of the Co-Op Program.

  • Must be participating in a Baking Program/Diploma

  • Position requires constant and continuous support of production and other departments with time spent both in an office environment and an Industrial Kitchen environment, temperature change as work area direct.

  • Frequently required to bake or fry in the kitchen lab.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
