As the successful candidate, you have strong math and logical thinking, excellent understanding of algorithms, data structures, software architecture and design, and you understand the logic behind how things work. 

We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow applications and solutions to meet complex business requirements. This role goes beyond traditional ServiceNow responsibilities, allowing you to leverage your expertise in software development and contribute to other critical projects across our tech stack. The position involves full-stack development, custom app building, and integrating ServiceNow with other enterprise systems. You will be able to take part in brainstorming and bringing new ideas to the table, which will be rewarded by your professional growth and motivating career advancement with SOTI.

Responsibilities

  • Custom Development & Configuration (ServiceNow): Lead the design, development, and deployment of custom ServiceNow applications, including building new features, scripting, and enhancing existing modules.

  • Platform Expertise (ServiceNow): Develop and manage Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, and other scripted elements to drive efficient and scalable solutions.

  • ServiceNow UI Customization: Create and maintain custom UI pages using ServiceNow’s UI Builder, Content Management System (CMS), and CSS for enhanced user experiences.

  • Full-Stack Development Beyond ServiceNow: Contribute to non-ServiceNow projects using modern programming languages (e.g., C# , JavaScript/TypeScript, or others), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and frameworks (Angular).

  • Integrations & Data Migrations: Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and external systems, as well as other third-party tools, using APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.

  • Cross-Platform Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs across multiple platforms, ensuring holistic and robust solutions that are scalable, efficient, and aligned with best practices.

  • Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues across the ServiceNow platform and other software applications, ensuring optimal performance and stability.

  • Agile Development & Collaboration: Work in an agile environment, actively participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed.

  • Stay Current with Industry Trends: Continuously research and stay up-to-date with new ServiceNow features, software development best practices, and emerging technology trends to recommend and implement new ideas.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3- 5 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development, configuration, and publishing custom applications on the ServiceNow App Store.

  • Advanced experience in both Server-side (Business Rules, Script Includes, etc.) and Client-side (UI Pages, CMS, CSS) scripting on the ServiceNow platform

  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow’s core administration settings and platform capabilities.

  • Expertise in designing and developing integrations between ServiceNow and external systems.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in coding in B/E using C# or Java in general software development, including experience with cloud platforms, web development, or enterprise applications outside of ServiceNow. 2-3 projects undertaken.
  • Ability to contribute to full-stack development projects using modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple platforms and environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS).

  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), or IT Asset Management (ITAM) frameworks.

  • B/E Developer expertise having undertaken projects in C# or Java
