About the Role

Join our dynamic National Accounts Team in Toronto as the AVP of National Accounts, reporting to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of National Accounts. In this role, you will foster relationships with investment dealers to promote AGF’s investment strategies. With a deep understanding of national accounts, you will collaborate closely with AGF’s stakeholders to enhance growth and awareness within the investment dealer channel.

Your Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong connections with investment dealers, head office gatekeepers, and analysts to achieve business goals.
  • Incorporate recommended lists, UMA/SMA, models, alternative strategies, ETFs, segregated funds on dealer platforms.
  • Drive AUM growth across various business lines and facilitate the approval of OM-related strategies.
  • Organize conferences, national calls, road shows, and national account-sponsored events.
  • Schedule and conduct quarterly meetings with head office gatekeepers and analysts.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and multi-channel distribution partners as subject matter expert.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Mutual Fund Recommended lists, UMA/SMA, Alternative Strategies (private and liquids), Models, ETFs, Segregated Funds.
  • Work with Retail and Capital Partners distribution teams to help cultivate new opportunities and support client relationships.

  • Maintain and update account plans monthly.
  • Strive to meet and exceed targeted KPIs.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of the investment industry, including at least 10 years of experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Mutual Fund Recommended lists, UMA/SMA, Alternative Strategies (private and liquids), Models, ETFs, Segregated Funds.
  • Proven experience working with investment dealer (CIRO).
  • In-depth knowledge of investment products, markets and competitive trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Morningstar Direct, Evestnet and Salesforce.
  • Exceptional sales and client service skills with a proven track record.
  • Excellent networking, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong business planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while supporting team goals.
  • Willingness to travel and work outside of normal hours.

Additional Strengths

  • Certifications: CFA preferred, CFP, or MBA is an asset
