DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Works on ongoing automation projects to develop and implement new solutions
- Considers and provides inputs to the automation lab on how much investment (time, resources) are required to develop a solution to the core process in question
- Completes project plans to meet customer deadlines
- Works collaboratively with other developers in an ever-changing landscape of methods (Kanban, Agile, Feature Driven, Lean, Scrum) and tools in order to address each project efficiently and effectively
- Addresses barriers/roadblocks quickly and utilizes critical thinking to develop solutions and workarounds
- Comprehends technical requirements and documentation of core operational processes and build digital solutions to address manual touch points
- Translates customer needs, documented requirements, and process maps into well-designed automation solutions
- Ensures solutions meet business needs and requirements
- Uses structured problem solving to address the root cause of inefficiency and friction points within our operational processes
- Builds solutions to address core problem with network scalability in mind
- Accountable for the stability of the solutions built within the automation lab and assist in the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of established automation solutions
- Analyzes and tests current processes and systems to determine effectiveness and efficiency
- Deconstructs existing solutions and incorporate them into established and approved tools and libraries of automations
- Crafts clear documentation on how to setup and execute the solutions built
- Establishes monitoring of automation solutions to identify errors as well as track ROI of each solution
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience
- Previous development experience with the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Previous programming experience; designing technical solutions experience
- Experience (or expertise) developing in one or more of the following: Microsoft Power Platform, Python, JavaScript, Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Blue Prism, SQL
- Up to 5% travel may be required (domestic and/or international)
Preferred:
- Advanced technical degree / certification
- Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transportation
- Experience in developing scripts or automation solutions
- Exposure or experience in a Lean / Agile methodology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence / LLM
- Certification in Microsoft Power Platform or other automation tools
- Ability to learn new technical languages and tools and understand where and when to apply them
- Ability to grasp business processes and construct solutions to assist operations personnel through reducing or eliminating manual interactions with the process
- Ability to deconstruct processes into component parts and replicate them into a digital form
- Strong problem solving / process improvement capability
- Capable of grasping business and technical issues and come up with smart, logical solutions
- Willingness to offer alternative solutions to a problem and stretch capabilities in order to solve the core problem
- Highly analytical with the ability to synthesize business situations down to their quantitative essence
- Ability to communicate complex solutions in a simple and concise manner
- Strong listener with the ability to read between the lines and confidence to ask clarifying questions
