What you will do:
- Work to develop automation of maintenance tasks using programing language (Phyton, Linux Bash scripting, Groovy and Java) and DevOps pipelines.
- Participate to build Artificial Intelligence use cases to turn operations from reactive to predictive.
- Assist in monitoring network alarms and events using operational tools; help classify and escalate issues to appropriate teams.
- Support the incident management process by tracking tickets, documenting updates, and assisting with troubleshooting under supervision.
- Learn how core network and radio access network (RAN) components are monitored and maintained; assist with routine checks and maintenance coordination.
- Help analyze logs, alarms, and performance metrics to identify potential service issues.
- Support controlled remote access activities and change management processes following established procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, maintenance activities, and operational updates; assist with status reporting.
- Work with engineering, security, and service teams to understand how issues are resolved and services restored.
- Contribute to process documentation, playbooks, automation scripts, or dashboard improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
The skills you bring:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in: Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Available to work 40 hours per week during the summer or co-op term
- Technical Skills (Student-Level Expectations)
- Networking fundamentals (IP, TCP/UDP, DNS, routing basics)
- OSI model concepts
- Familiarity with Linux or command-line environments
- Programing language: Phyton, Linux Bash scripting, Groovy and Java
- Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and authentication (OAuth2, tokens).
- Basic familiarity with Linux command line and Git (branching).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to document findings clearly
- Clear written and verbal communication.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have:
- Exposure to telecom domains (RAN, Core, OSS/BSS, Cloud) through coursework or projects
- Experience with monitoring tools or ticketing systems (academic or lab exposure is fine)
- Understanding of virtualization or cloud fundamentals

- Analytical thinking and structured troubleshooting approach
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Willingness to follow established operational and security procedures
Eligibility requirements:
- 2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
- Available for a full-time internship for 12 weeks
- Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or Masters on a full-time basis at a 4-year college or university at the time of the internship
