Job Overview
Reporting to the Consulting Manager, the Functional Consultant plays a critical role engaging with key stakeholders by supporting them and allowing them to master the full value of their Atlassian suite. You are the one who brings expert direction to the Sales Team and assists in providing estimates during the pre-sales cycle. You have strong communication skills and know how to navigate the different levels of management and individual contributors inside the customer organization.
Tasks & Responsibilities

 

  • Provide customer coaching and drive workshops on Agile practices.
  • Consult clients on adopting and configuring Atlassian systems, in particular Jira and Confluence, in Agile environments.
  • Support customer teams in understanding the evolution of their roles within the Agile framework.
  • Provide expertise towards the development of high-quality solutions, including product selection, execution of test scenarios, and assessment of architectural requirements.
  • Advise clients on the best approach to meet technical and/or functional problems with Atlassian systems, and complimentary 3rd party products.
  • Design customer workflows, schemes, agile boards, JQL filters and dashboards as needed for implementation of Atlassian systems.
  • Ongoing personal learning and development as needed to provide expert level advice on iTMethods products, services, offerings and partner technologies.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships as an expert source of advice about solution customization and configuration options.
  • Collaborate with leadership and various stakeholders on providing strategic insight into defining and improving service or solution features.
  • Manage project delivery timelines, budgets, and scope as needed for customer engagements.
  • Take a leadership role in customer interactions and pre-sales engagements as needed to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Ability to play an integral role using your expertise towards the development of high-quality solutions based on the Atlassian stack.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality experiences for clients. You can collaborate with various stakeholders to provide strategic insight into defining and improving service or solution features.
  • You take on the role of subject matter expert, nurturing customer relationships as you provide advice on solution customization and configuration options.
  • Ability to apply and expand your technical expertise including professional certification in AWS, Atlassian, and other systems.


Qualifications
 

  • Degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent education/work experience.
  • Experience customizing Atlassian products using apps (add-ons).
  • Experience configuring Atlassian Cloud and Atlassian Data Center.
  • Experience being in a collaborative environment where you have developed solutions to open-ended business problems.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently on multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Experience leading or coordinating organization and enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • You have expertise coaching stakeholders in crafting technology, processing landscape, and driving solution strategies.
  • 3+ years soliciting and defining requirements from key stakeholders to map Jira Software, Jira Service Management and Confluence workflows and administration.
  • Experience in migrating Atlassian Systems, merging and consolidating systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills and an aptitude for developing relationships at the executive, engineering and operational levels throughout organizations.
  • Able to ask probing questions, articulate client requirements and translate into actionable technical specifications.
  • Strong consulting skills where you have a proven track record to positively impact and influence the work of a project team.
  • Flexible and adaptable to the clients' needs.


Nice to Have
 

  • Atlassian Certified individual holding two or more Atlassian certifications.
  • Scrum Master or project management experience.
  • Working knowledge of ITSM best practices.
  • Experience in configuring Jira Service Management, Opsgenie, and Insights.
  • Programming skills using languages such as Groovy or similar.
