Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role offers an opportunity to participate in the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of enterprise technology solutions that deliver business value and exceptional customer experiences.

The successful candidate will work closely with software engineers, architects, quality engineering teams, business analysts, and product partners to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable technology solutions while developing technical expertise and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development, testing, implementation, and support of software applications, APIs, and technology solutions.

  • Develop and maintain high-quality code in accordance with established engineering standards and best practices.

  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving application defects, production issues, and performance concerns.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver business and technology objectives.

  • Participate in requirements analysis, solution design discussions, code reviews, and testing activities.

  • Support proof-of-concept initiatives, technical research, and evaluation of new technologies.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, process documentation, and operational runbooks.

  • Ensure adherence to security, risk, compliance, and coding standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Participate in knowledge-sharing activities and contribute to a collaborative team culture.

  • Delivery of assigned development tasks, user stories, and technical deliverables within agreed timelines and quality standards.

  • Development of technical proficiency in the team's tools, platforms, development frameworks, and engineering practices.

  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and production issues with appropriate guidance.

EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATIONRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Strong understanding of software development concepts, data structures, and object-oriented programming principles.

  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies.

  • Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar technologies.

  • Understanding of databases, APIs, and application integration concepts.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Co-op, internship, academic project, or previous software development experience.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and source control tools such as Git.

  • Exposure to automated testing frameworks and application monitoring tools.

  • Understanding of secure coding practices and technology risk management principles.
