Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for an organized and detail oriented individual to join our Settlements team in Vancouver or Toronto.

Responsibilities:

  • Domestic Equity Settlements, including set up and maintenance of trade instructions in CDS;
  • Buy-Ins, including sending notices, requesting extensions, and communication on executions to Investment Advisors and the trading desk;
  • Approving/denying market buy-in participation;
  • Liaising with Securities Lending team on potential borrows for failed trades;
  • Monitoring CDS Collateral pools;
  • Reconciliation of internal exception accounts;
  • Communicating with Investment Advisors and their assistants, Financial Institutions and Depositories.
  • Back up for DTC/US and International Settlements

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in Financial Operations an asset;
  • Customer service and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines is essential;
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team;
  • Hard-working, positive, dedicated and adaptable to change;
  • Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel required;
  • Familiarity with Dataphile, Arrow, CDS and DTC is an asset.
