Overview
The Resource Analytics Associate supports Global Finance by delivering advanced analytics, optimization tools, and data‑driven insights that shape trading, balance sheet, liquidity, and client strategy across North American, European, and Asian markets. The role partners closely with Trading, Sales, Risk, and Treasury to enable efficient resource deployment and informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop advanced analytics, optimization engines, and bespoke tools supporting balance sheet, liquidity, funding, and capital management.
• Serve as a core engineer for Yoko, Global Finance’s full‑stack analytics platform—building new features, maintaining infrastructure, and ensuring data integrity.
• Create and enhance reporting for trading book exposure, client performance, risk dashboards, and real‑time cash flow forecasting.
• Support collateral optimization initiatives across repo, securities lending, clearing, Reg IM, and internal funding workflows.
• Design analytics for client profitability, relationship insights, and cross‑sell opportunities.
• Collaborate with trading desks, Sales, Risk, Treasury, and Operations to deliver solutions aligned with business strategy, regulatory frameworks, and resource constraints.
• Troubleshoot daily data issues, maintain compatibility with evolving models and feeds, and support Business Managed Application compliance and audit requirements.
• Contribute to liquidity‑enhancing transaction structuring and market intelligence initiatives.

Role Impact
The role directly enables revenue growth, cost reduction, and capital optimization across Global Finance’s vast balance sheet through improved resource deployment and analytics-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Proficiency with programming, web, and database languages (preference for: Python, C#, HTML, JavaScript, SQL)
• Strong quantitative and analytical problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication and ability to work across groups
• Comfort with ambiguity and open‑ended problem solving
• Innovative mindset with willingness to challenge the status quo

The current salary range for this role is $100,000-160,000.

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
