Associate NAM - AFH at a glance...
Reporting into the Lead, AFH - Retail & Distribution the Assc. National Account Manager has the responsibility for managing and leading Kraft Heinz business with many of our regional and national distributors in the Foodservice space. The NAM's are directly responsible for delivering profit and revenue targets by assigned accounts, along with managing forecasting. In this role the individual will work with internal partners (Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Finance) on a North American basis to assist in growing the Foodservice business for several customers. This role also requires knowledge of the industry and solid account management skills.
This position requires strong sales acumen; should have a good understanding of the Foodservice industry, including distribution, operator banners and associated relationships. The incumbent will draw on their experience, knowledge of the industry and trade to work with their manager to develop & negotiate programs with their assigned customers. This individual must have good communication skills and the ability to communicate with several levels of management within their Customers & Kraft Heinz. The individual must have strong influencing skills and superior executional capabilities.
What's on the menu?

  • Management of several large accounts within the Foodservice space and overall portfolio including achieving revenue, profit and volume targets while meeting account service expectations
  • Build Customer business plans with key strategies to sustain growth. Present business plans to senior management both internally and externally with customers
  • Provides clear communication to the Kraft Heinz Foodservice Sales team on program executions.
  • Working with the Lead for Distribution & Retail, develops and executes in-depth business plans by account to deliver commitments
  • Initiate and participate with the Lead for Distribution & Retail, working through customer opportunities (customized products, culinary executions, productivity etc.)
  • Responsible for managing all product related matters for listing at accounts, including forecasting, costing, implementing pricing action and service levels
  • Manage and negotiate all spending at account level including Brand Marketing funds and deliver to budget
  • Establishes contract level pricing on branded products for national accounts which will be benchmarked for all regional GPC business

  • Experience in sales, category management and account management
  • Solution-oriented and results driven and accustomed to a high paced environment
  • Solid understanding of the Foodservice industry & customer knowledge, specifically within distributors & cash and carry operators an asset
  • Advanced proficiency in use of MS office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Demonstrated success in analyzing & interpreting data (Excel) as well as the business acumen to drive growth within the smaller corporate Distributors that they will manage
  • Previous experience using Salesforce.com or other CRM system
  • Additionally, the incumbent must work well within teams, given the exposure to Sr. Leadership, other sales regions and cross-functional departments
