Job Description

The Trade Capture & Support Team is a cross-asset group accountable for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of trade data across internal trade systems as well as working to resolve trade related issues with internal and external counterparties. Additionally, the team acts as an extension to the trading desk by providing support for non-trade execution functions. The team works closely with the trading desk, investment departments, as well as teams across middle office and operations to verify, enrich, and resolve trade issues across the various investment products.

The Associate will be expected to provide quality support for the firm’s public market trading strategies through handling trade capture, enrichment, and resolving inquiries from various internal & external stakeholders. Additionally, the Associate would be expected to assist and lead, where needed, in growing this team to be best in class while developing a robust & controlled operating model.

The position will require interaction with various investment professionals and global counterparties as well as superior time-management skills. Role-Specific Accountabilities

  • Ensure assigned products and trades are accurately captured & enriched by prescribed cut-off times
  • Provide support to junior team members with their assigned work and ensuring team deliverables are met within established timelines
  • Work collaboratively with traders, technology & data partners, internal Ops teams, and counterparties to identify & resolve issues or opportunities related trades, workflows, and/or system improvements
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by leading and/or contributing to initiatives at both the firm and team level with a focus on creating measurable operational efficiencies while adhering to robust controls & risk mitigants
  • Contribute to the development of a robust operating model built on industry best practice

Qualifications

If you possess the following, we’d like to hear from you:

  • 5+ years of demonstratable investment understanding and/or experience within middle office, preferably with a focus on trade lifecycle management across global markets & asset classes
  • Direct experience with trade booking, enrichment & issue resolution would be an asset
  • Demonstratable experience with identifying value-add/process efficiency opportunities and participation in implementation of same without necessarily having any prior experience with the subject matter
  • Proven ability to structure communications, both written & verbal, to raise and resolve issues across all levels of the organisation
  • Self-motivated, agile, with the ability to approach a constantly changing business & environment through innovation and creativity
  • Demonstrable leadership experience with motivating & apprenticing peers and more junior teammates while ensuring your own deliverables are met
  • Experience with any of the following: Murex, Simcorp, Traiana, Bloomberg AIM, Portware
