PURPOSE OF THE ROLE...Who You Are & What You’ll Do

For the Foods business in North America, UI’s mission is to bring authentic flavors from around the globe to serve diaspora consumers in US and Canada. Our portfolio boasts best-selling products from Asia, Latin America, Europe, and beyond, including Knorr Chicken Powder, Knorr Sinigang Tamarind Mix from the Philippines, Bru Coffee from India, Naturas Ranchera Sauce from Costa Rica, and Maizena Cornstarch from Mexico to name a few. As the Associate Marketing Manager, you will lead the end-to-end marketing initiatives for one of our assigned portfolios, encompassing brand planning, media planning, digital, social, and in-store execution in the US and Canada.

  • You’ll play a strategic role in brand management, engaging in both long-term and short-term planning.
  • You’ll pioneer brand seeding models and leverage digital and shopper marketing to build brands rapidly.
  • You’ll partner with sales teams to analyze the market and lead cross-functional UI teams to swiftly and effectively launch innovations and activations

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Lead strategic planning & management for the assigned portfolio.
  • Lead consumer and shopper demand generation through media, social content, field marketing & shopper marketing
  • Manage regular communication & alignment with global teams & local US/Canada Foods team.
  • Analyse IRI/Nielsen/Numerator data, secondary sales, consumer research and different digital tracking tool to drive brand performance and take corrective actions wherever needed.
  • Budget Management: Planning and regular tracking of BMI spends
  • Support and lead cross functional teams to deliver common objective

  • Demonstrate a proactive, collaborative, resourceful, and "can do" attitude.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment with demanding project schedules.
  • Exhibits a balance of strong business acumen and a passion for creative development.
  • High attention to detail, process-oriented, and a motivated self-starter.
  • Possesses advanced project management and strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience in innovation and communication development is a plus (e.g., writing insightful briefs and concepts, developing business cases, etc.).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams while working with and influencing stakeholders.
  • Displays excellent influencing and communication skills towards stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Experience in multicultural marketing or Hispanic marketing.
  • Ability to communicate well in Spanish is going to be a big plus.

Experiences & Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of marketing experience in a brand management role.
  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline. MBA is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power point is a must.
