The Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Director - Application Consulting who understands the functional aspects of applications, lifecycle of application development and has the ability to design and sell application managed services solutions. This individual will play a crucial role in guiding clients through their application journey, including modernization strategies, to drive digital transformation and business success. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent client engagement capabilities, and the ability to articulate value-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of business applications, workflows, and their functional impact on client operations.

  • Managed Services Solutioning: Design, recommend, and present application managed services solutions aligned with client needs and business goals.

  • Client Engagement & Advisory: Work closely with clients to understand their pain points, define solution roadmaps, and articulate the benefits of modernization and managed services.

  • Application development and customization : Design and recommend custom applications aligned with client needs and business goals.

  • Application Modernization Strategy: Assess legacy applications and provide strategic guidance on modernization, migration, and optimization.

  • Sales & Business Development Support: Partner with sales teams to craft compelling value propositions, presentations, and proposals for clients.

  • Operational & Technical Guidance: Support the transition and operationalization of managed services, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and client expectations.

  • Automation & Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance application performance and reduce costs.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of solutions.

  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to industry standards, security guidelines, and regulatory requirements in application transformation efforts.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also take the lead in coordinating the entire pre-sales process, ensuring quality and compliance verification while adhering to Kyndryl best practices. Your collaboration with internal and external stakeholders will generate winning responses and create optimal technical solutions. Moreover, you will actively build and nurture relationships with our external alliance partners, fostering a collaborative environment where joint solutions are co-created.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in application consulting, managed services, or IT solutions delivery.

  • Proven ability to solution and sell application managed services.

  • Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, cloud platforms, and digital transformation strategies.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills.

  • Experience working with enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, and IT service delivery models.

  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, DevOps, and automation practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL, TOGAF, or relevant industry certifications.

  • Experience with cloud-based application modernization (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Knowledge of AI-driven automation, observability tools, and digital transformation frameworks.
