The Opportunity:

We are currently recruiting for an Associate Data Analyst to join our Toronto based team and supplement our global Data organization.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm with a global presence and significant growth potential.

As a Data Analyst at Rimes, you will use problem-solving skills to research complex issues associated with financial data sources across a wide array of financial asset types including fixed income, equity, ETFs and commodities.

What you will do:

  • Maintain and support the suite of Rimes products and services
  • Collaborate with data developers and performance analysts on optimizing data quality and the efficiency of data infrastructures.
  • Respond to data questions coming in from clients and from client-facing teams within Rimes.
  • Coordinate with data suppliers about calculation methodologies and data anomalies.

As an Associate Data Analyst, you will be playing a pivotal role in upholding Rimes’ commitment to data quality.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor or Master, in Finance, Science, Engineering or Mathematics-related field.
  • Results-driven and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible and efficient at multitasking across various assignments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Able to work independently, take initiative, and prioritize effectively.
  • Interested in technology while recognizing the importance of process and structure.
  • Attentive to detail with a demonstrated ability to think creatively.
  • A confident communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills.

Also useful:

  • Knowledge of financial markets and financial data
  • Previous work experience in the financial industry
  • Python/Perl experience.
  • Knowledge of SQL.

Working Setup: Flexible hybrid work environment

Annual Base Salary Range (Budget): CAD 60,000 to CAD 75,000
