Responsibilities:
- Investigate claims and determine coverage under a customer’s policy
- Inform and educate customers about the claims process
- Process claims payments and ensure accurate information is captured within our claims system
- Deliver exceptional customer service to our customers and brokers
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of prior customer service experience
- Undergraduate or post-secondary degree is preferred
- Insurance industry experience, call center experience, or experience within a brokerage setting is helpful
- Interested in pursuing a CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional Designation)
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective Communication Skills: Ability to convey information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to ensure mutual understanding and collaboration among team members and stakeholders
- Sound Judgment & Decision-Making Skills: Capability to analyze situations, consider various perspectives, and make well-informed decisions
- Strong Empathy: Demonstrating a deep understanding of and sensitivity to the feelings, thoughts, and experiences of others, fostering a positive customer experience
- Resilience: Maintaining composure and a positive attitude in the face of challenges, setbacks, and stressful situations, while continuing to work towards achieving goals
Hybrid: This is a hybrid role that includes the flexibility to work remotely, but regular in-person attendance in our Cambridge facility is expected (twice a week, Wednesdays and Thursdays).
The expected base salary range for this position is $48,500 - $73,000. Depending on your relevant experience, skills, qualifications, market conditions and business needs, base compensation may vary. You have the potential to earn more through Gore Mutual’s discretionary bonus program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
