Pontosense builds technology that helps older adults live safely and independently at home. We partner with operators, distributors, and care organizations who want to improve outcomes while preserving dignity and privacy. We’re at an exciting stage of growth and are expanding our commercial team to match the opportunity ahead.
If you’ve proven yourself in an early sales role and are now looking for full-cycle ownership, this is your next step. We’re looking for a Business Development Representative who wants to move beyond a narrow role and start owning revenue. This position blends outbound prospecting with real deal ownership, giving you the opportunity to build pipeline, run your own opportunities, and close business.
You’ll work directly with senior leadership, including our Sales Director, Solutions Lead, and Chief Commercial Officer. This is an opportunity to accelerate your development in a fast-scaling environment while building the foundation for a long-term career in sales.

What you’ll do

  • Build pipeline: Identify and engage new prospects through outbound outreach, networking, and follow-up from marketing initiatives.
  • Qualify and advance opportunities: Lead initial discovery conversations, understand buyer needs, and set up high-quality next steps for the sales team.
  • Support GTM processes: Provide feedback from customer conversations, help refine messaging, and support the development of our sales plays and outreach strategies.
  • Stay close to the deal: Continue to support key opportunities through demos, pilots, and follow-up, partnering with our Sales Director and CCO.
  • Work on technical opportunities: Collaborate with our Solutions Lead on more technical deals, helping translate customer needs into clear, compelling use cases.
  • Focus effort where deals move: Prioritize high-intent buyers and opportunities most likely to reach a decision.
  • Develop commercial judgment: Understand why customers buy, handle early objections, and refine repeatable messaging from real conversations.

What success looks like

Ramp expectations

  • By Day 60, you’re comfortable running demos and entry-level discussions independently.
  • By Day 90, you’re running full deals on your own, with senior sales support when you need it.

You’ll report directly to our Sales Director and work closely with our Chief Commercial Officer, with regular coaching and feedback as you go. Success in this role looks like steadily building your own pipeline, closing your first customers, and growing your confidence as a full-cycle seller while helping us shape how we sell.

Who you are

  • You have 1–2 years of experience in a BDR/SDR or sales development role.
  • You’re ready to move beyond booking meetings and start owning outcomes.
  • You’re confident and comfortable leading conversations.
  • You’re curious, coachable, and hungry to grow.
  • You want exposure to strategy, not just scripts.
  • You thrive in fast-moving environments where you can learn quickly and take on more responsibility.

What makes this role different

  • You’ll close real business.
  • You’ll learn directly from senior leadership.
  • You’ll gain exposure to complex, multi-location sales models.
  • You’ll grow with us.
