The Assistant Financial Controller is responsible for ensuring local statutory and tax compliance for Transak, preparing consolidated financial statements, supporting audits, and maintaining accurate accounting as per local and global guidelines. This role involves working closely with outsourced service providers and requires strong analytical skills to streamline accounting processes.

Role:
Job Description & Responsibilities:-
- Responsible for local statutory and tax compliances for Transak Group of entities, by working closely with outsourced service providers..
- Ensure that accounting is up-to-date as per local GAAPs and review the work performed by outsourced service providers
- Prepare consolidated financial statements as per US GAAP & IFRS.
- Work with various business partners to ensure legal entities are accurately, completely and timely accounted for in the system, as well as to ensure good controls of underlying processes are in place.
- Play a key role in supporting government tax audits, year-end financial statement tax preparation, statutory audits, and contribute to ad hoc projects and analyses as required, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Ensure the month end close in line with Transak’s global reporting timetable, reviewing to ensure that critical accounts are reconciled to underlying documentation, that transactions are coded accurately in line with local accounting policies
- Analysis of all Balance Sheet and Cost accounts
- Liaise with auditors on Statutory audits
- In conjunction with the Transfer Pricing Department review the quarterly calculation for Group books and also perform the true up Calculation for local books
- Provide support as appropriate in any tax audits as agreed with the Tax Department either directly or through 3rd party providers
Requirement:
- Chartered Accountant Qualification Degree (or equivalent)/ globally recognized professional accounting qualification (preferred)
- High level of digital proficiency with the ability to rapidly assess, streamline, and implement tools to automate bookkeeping and reporting processes as much as possible.
- Experience: 2-4 Years
Nice to have:
- Experience on accounting system “Xero” is added advantage
- Familiarity with Web3/Cryptocurrency/Blockchain
- Accounting of Web3 firms
