Job Description
Role Summary
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Canada is a leadership role and an integral member of the Canadian business and Global CAO leadership teams, with overall responsibility for the business operating model, including build out of capabilities to support business growth and expansion into new markets, client segments and products.
The Canada CAO works in close partnership with the Head of Asset Management's Canadian business and management team to establish and operate a high quality, scalable and well controlled operating model. The role reports functionally to the Head of Client Service - Americas and locally to the Head of the Canadian business.
Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Canadian business strategy, in close partnership with the Business Head and stakeholders across the global organization.
  • Provide support, unbiased advice, analysis and recommendations to the Head of the Canadian business and other senior stakeholders to drive the business growth agenda.
  • Collaborate with global product teams to address/prioritize demand in Canada.
  • Own the operating/service model for the Asset Management business in Canada, including build out of foundational capabilities for growth in new markets, client segments and products.
  • Stay abreast of Canadian regulatory, risk and compliance change agenda to formulate strategy and work across the organization to drive/implement change.
  • Establish and operate legal entity governance and related forums and represent the Canadian business at various internal committees and external industry associations.
  • Own and manage key business priority projects end to end.


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Extensive (10+ years) experience in the financial services industry, with significant exposure to Asset Management.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills: delivering messages clearly and succinctly with tailored approach depending on target audience.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and influence a wide range of stakeholders, including executive management.
  • Strong project management skills, with emphasis on controls and focus on process improvement.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Pro-active and problem solving mindset with ability to identify, clearly present and implement solutions.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience with Canadian financial institutions/intermediaries/fund industry preferred.
