Responsibilities: 

• Agentic Workflow Development: Design and code multi-agent systems where AI models surface internal data autonomously plan tasks, use tools, and execute complex workflows. Deploy and build against appropriate frameworks.

• System Integration: Integrate LL models and agentic frameworks into existing software applications and infrastructure using APIs and microservices, optimizing for performance and scalability.

• Prototype and Consultancy - Work with internal teams across multiple development languages to provide examples of best practice AI development and build initial implementations to kick-start development and act as a consultant to assist development of products and business solutions.

• Prompt Engineering & Optimization: Continuously refine system prompts and orchestration logic to improve reliability - review use cases against different models to select the most appropriate models for the solution 

• Performance and Monitoring: Implement evaluation frameworks to test against hallucinations, manage costs, and apply guardrails.  Monitor model performance post-deployment, troubleshoot issues, and implement strategies for continuous improvement and retraining to ensure accuracy and reliability.

• Collaboration: Work closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and cross-functional teams to align AI solutions with business objectives and ensure data quality.

Required Skill Set: 

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

• Experience with specialized AI domains like Natural Language Processing (NLP), ML, Computer Vision, Generative AI/LLMs or Agentic AI. 

• Hands-on experience building applications with LLM APIs (Gemini/OpenAI/Claude), including knowledge of temperature settings, context windows, and prompting strategies

• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for model deployment and management.

• Strong understanding of software development principles, Git version control, and relational databases (SQL). Experience in coding across multiple language, Python, C++, Java

• Solid grasp of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data structures.

• Strong communication skills translating AI into business impact

Salary Range: 100,000/year -120,000/year CAD
