About the role

As an Applications Architect at PureFacts, you will be responsible for defining the structure and design of our core enterprise applications, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business and client needs. You’ll work closely with software engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into robust, modern application architectures that deliver exceptional performance and user experience. Your expertise will guide technology decisions, standardize development practices, and drive the evolution of our application ecosystem.


What you'll do

  • Own the architecture and design of key applications within PureFacts’ technology platform, ensuring alignment with overall enterprise architecture and strategic objectives.
  • Define and document application frameworks, coding standards, and design patterns to ensure consistency and maintainability across development teams.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, libraries, and frameworks that enhance scalability, performance, and developer productivity.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation roadmaps.
  • Ensure that applications meet non-functional requirements such as performance, availability, reliability, and security.
  • Guide the modernization of legacy applications through re-platforming, refactoring, or migration to cloud-native solutions.
  • Conduct architectural reviews, code assessments, and performance optimizations.
    Mentor developers and promote best practices in software design, testing, and deployments.
  • Partner with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless CI/CD pipelines and efficient cloud deployment strategies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in software development, with 3+ years in an applications or software architecture capacity.
  • Very strong expertise in .NET, C#, and SQL, with proven experience designing large-scale, data-driven applications.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices, API design, and event-driven architectures.
  • Deep understanding of Azure or other major cloud environments, including best practices for scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency.
  • Experience with application performance tuning, caching strategies, and distributed systems.
  • Strong knowledge of software design principles (SOLID, DDD, Clean Architecture).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native application design.
  • Familiarity with financial services or wealth management platforms.
  • Knowledge of security standards and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Agile delivery, and DevOps practices.
  • Exposure to AI/ML, data analytics, or financial reporting systems is an asset.
  • Experience in Reach frontend development.
