Job Description

In this position you will oversee the successful execution of Medium Voltage orders through Order Entry to Shipment with a focus on ensuring the quality of the Medium Voltage (MV) orders.

You will create and modify electrical drawings and Bills of Material (BOMs) for orders varying in complexity related to the Medium Voltage (2400V – 15kV) Motor Control Center and Variable Frequency Drives.

Previous knowledge with MV products will be an asset along with previous experience in quality engineering and developing electrical system solutions.

You will collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure customers success. You will oversee the MV ETO order engineering process and perform analysis to develop necessary process improvements and then ensure compliance.

This role reports to the Engineering Team Leader and is located in Cambridge, ON, Canada.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Create and modify electrical/mechanical drawings and BOM to meet custom modifications.
  • Investigate and resolve engineering issues that affect engineering quality.
  • Oversee MV engineering tools and entire order engineering process to ensure quality engineering design.
  • Audit established MV order engineering processes to ensure compliance.
  • Perform analysis and identify trends on MV order engineering process to develop quality assurance protocols/methods to improve engineering quality.
  • Work closely with engineering team members, production, and other functional teams to ensure MV order engineering deliverables meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Evaluate and analyze the efforts in organizing and documenting the final engineering design documents and records.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • University Degree or Technologist Diploma
  • Legal authorization to work in the Canada required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • University Degree or Technologist Diploma Electrical or relevant engineering degree
  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of experience of electrical engineering and/or the related engineering design quality assurance
  • P.Eng or C.E.T. certified or ability to Obtain
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills and data management skills
  • Experience with motor control and PLC programming
  • Experience with Data Analysis and Visualization (e.g., PowerBI) in terms of engineering process
  • Strong ACAD, CREO and SAP Experience
  • General Knowledge of Project Management or Lean Principles
  • Demonstrated Growth potential
