Position- Appliance Tester (6 month contract)

As an Appliance Tester, you will be part of a collaborative team that tests home appliances to determine whether a unit is defective or operational – not only helping us deliver amazing products to our customers but also prolonging the lifecycle of appliances to support our environment!
Availability Requirements:
- Shift: 8:00 am-4:30 pm Monday to Friday (+ some Saturdays).
- 32 to 40 hour weekly availability required
- 6-month contract with possibility of permanent
What you’ll do as an Appliance Tester:
- Test appliances — check out washers, dryers, ranges, dishwashers, fridges, freezers, microwaves and more to make sure everything’s working as it should.
- Quality Control — verify that temperatures, settings, and key accessories are all on point, and grade each appliance based on how it looks and runs.
- Reset and refresh — when needed, perform resets or data wipes to get appliances ready for their next home.
- Keep things moving — update our systems and organize each unit for its next destination.
What we’re looking for:
- 6+ months experience testing electronics, consumer equipment, or appliances.
- Basic understanding of electrical or electronic theory; prior experience or training in appliance theory, testing, or repair is an asset.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience is an asset.
- Ability to work with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and learn new systems.
- Required to perform lifting duties (up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis).

Base pay range
Hourly pay rate: $18.00 - $18.68Pay may vary by province. Pay listed is for the location advertised.
