About the Company

At Torc, we have always believed that autonomous vehicle technology will transform how we travel, move freight, and do business.
A leader in autonomous driving since 2007, Torc has spent over a decade commercializing our solutions with experienced partners. Now a part of the Daimler family, we are focused solely on developing software for automated trucks to transform how the world moves freight.
Join us and catapult your career with the company that helped pioneer autonomous technology, and the first AV software company with the vision to partner directly with a truck manufacturer.

Meet the Team

We are looking for detail-oriented Data Annotators to join our team. In this role, you will help support Torc’s data annotation and quality assurance pipeline by labeling information from different sensors, including images and LiDAR, to help train AI systems used in autonomous trucks.

What You’ll Do

As a Data Annotator, you’ll work with both 2D images and 3D sensor data to help AI systems recognize and understand their surroundings. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Labeling objects using specialized tools to create:
    • 2D bounding boxes
    • 3D cuboids
    • Other shape types to represent vehicles, road features, obstacles, and more
  • Reviewing pre-labeled data to ensure it follows detailed guidelines
  • Accepting, rejecting, or correcting annotations using our software
  • Providing clear notes when corrections are needed
  • Learning and mastering our internal tools over time

Your work directly supports the development of safer autonomous vehicle technology by ensuring the AI models used on those vehicles are trained with high-quality, accurate data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately annotate objects in both 2D and 3D environments
  • Follow instructions and guidelines consistently across tasks
  • Take ownership of your assignments and adapt to procedural updates
  • Apply feedback to continuously improve your skills and workflow
  • Collaborate with teammates and communicate effectively

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to stay focused and work efficiently during repetitive tasks
  • Comfortable supporting multiple projects and switching priorities when needed
  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Clear and effective communication skills

Knowledge of English is required since the selected candidate will need to collaborate daily with English-speaking colleagues in the United States and work with technical documentation written exclusively in English.
