The Marketing Analytics team has been charged with supporting audience growth functions across our portfolio. We utilize the vast amount of internal and third-party data available to provide reporting, tooling, and automation solutions that elevate the various functions in Zynga’s product organization. Our primary focus is on one core goal: expanding Zynga's ability to reach new audiences.

As an analytics manager focusing on the game studios, you will provide leadership and technical guidance to a team of dedicated analysts and data scientists. You will interact directly with product/marketing leaders to identify opportunities for improvement within their functions. Together with your team, you will propose innovative solutions, prioritize workflows, and coordinate product development and enhancements with the centralized marketing analytics function. Additionally, you will take a hands-on approach in utilizing SQL, Python, and data visualization tools to analyze data, generate reports, and deliver actionable strategic recommendations.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with large amounts of data to find and lead opportunities to improve the investment efficiency.
  • Analyze and optimize marketing campaigns across multiple channels, leveraging data to drive performance improvements and maximize ROI.
  • Establish new measurement frameworks, including Incrementality and MMMs (Marketing Mix Models).
  • Use our modern tech stack, Redshift, Databricks and PySpark, Airflow, and Tableau to develop innovative tools.
  • Technically engage with the analysts, data scientists, and game teams to provide data-driven insights and guidance with your strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Bolster customer trust and build technical knowledge through execution of ad hoc analyses of high business priority.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical solutions to business challenges.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to define areas of opportunity and set priorities.
  • Supervise the larger technical direction of projects.
  • Develop talent and steer career growth within the team.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience with some or all of the following: predictive modeling, statistics, experimental design, optimization, data visualization.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, effectively managing communication and expectations to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills; comfortable explaining technical topics to non-technical users.
  • Strong understanding of marketing metrics and KPIs, with experience in campaign optimization, Lifetime Value (LTV) modeling, and incrementality analysis.
  • Domain knowledge in user acquisition, product marketing, and app store optimization; familiarity with privacy frameworks like ATT.
  • Strong experience in SQL and Python; Adept in at least one visualization tool such as Tableau.
  • 5+ years of work experience in data science, machine learning or analytics roles.
  • 1+ years of work experience in people management.
  • BS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative fields; Masters or PhD strongly preferred.
