Job Description
We are looking for an Analyst to help with our Securitization process workflow with primary focus on data process, data structures and other data deliverables around securitization.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting the data analytics and process engineering of Momentum’s loan securitization processes – a critical component of the business with excellent visibility to the top levels of management
- Conceive, design & develop purpose focused reports and dashboards that drives value and meets business needs
- Manipulate large data sets from multiple sources to provide business metric reporting
- Assist the reporting design and help with different phases of the projects, assuring that design conforms to established guidelines and standards
- Assist with the preparation of various debt/investor securitization reports, including servicer reporting, settlement statements, monthly asset reports, daily cashflow/cash collected reporting etc.
- Ensure that proper internal controls are in place, documented and reviewed routinely
- Support audit and agreed upon procedure requests
- Assist Data engineers with automation of all reporting
Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Operational Research, Financial Analytics or a related field is required.
EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years’ experience in reporting, analysis and strategy development in the financial services industry or securitization
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Microsoft Excel and other analytics tools such as R/python for analytics
- Experience with Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Looker or other tools
- Capable of completing descriptive, diagnostic, exploratory, predictive, and prescriptive analytical exercises
- Proven ability to effectively analyze and interpret large amounts of raw data to accurately convey business needs
- Interpretation of securitization data tapes, servicer reports, and modeling cash flows
- Adept at juggling multiple tasks independently, key deadlines and deliverables and demonstrating flexibility to get things done.
- Fast learner of new technology and systems
- Strong work ethic, curious and persistent determination in reviewing and reconciling variances.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team setting
- Aptitude and willingness to roll-up the sleeves and get involved in the details
- Desire to take full ownership of deliverables and be accountable for results
- Ability to provide deliverables accurately and on time with minimal supervision
