What You Will Get To Do:

As a member of the Performance & Analytics team, the Analyst, Investment Performance & Analytics will participate in new client implementations and will provide ongoing operational and analytical support to alternative investment clients (hedge funds, FoFs, private equity) using SS&C’s services and platforms. The Associate, Investment Performance & Analytics can also expect to be involved in product management activities, such as testing of new functionalities and various other special projects. Responsibilities may include:

  • Participating in implementations of new clients in areas of investment performance, attribution analysis, ex-post risk measurement and GIPS compliance 
  • Providing ongoing day-to-day operational and analytical support to clients
  • Taking ownership of the ongoing production process, reviewing calculations and ensuring timely client deliverables
  • Ensuring data integrity across multiple systems and ongoing review of data validation processes
  • Regularly interacting with clients, product management teams, fund accounting teams and senior management to ensure effective business operation
  • Cultivating relationships with both internal and external partners
  • Keeping abreast of industry initiatives and market trends that impact the business

The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic work environment, is creative and capable of working on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. The candidate must be comfortable working with computers and software.

What You Will Bring:

  • 1–3 years of experience in financial services, investment operations, risk reporting, performance analytics, or alternative investments  
  • Understanding of investment performance measurement, risk analytics, attribution analysis, or investment reporting concepts  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail and data quality 
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with large datasets  
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills  
  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills and a client-service orientation.
  • Understanding of derivative products and alternative investments is an asset  
  • Experience using or learning AI-enabled productivity and automation tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Blue Prism, workflow automation tools)  
  • Demonstrated curiosity and interest in improving operational efficiency, automation, reporting quality, and analytical workflows  
  • Comfortable working with relational data structures and collaborating with technical teams to troubleshoot data or reporting issues  
  • Basic scripting, Python, SQL, or automation experience is an asset, but not required
  • CIPM and/or CFA designation or demonstrated progress towards one is an asset
  • Interest in leveraging AI and automation to improve scalability, accuracy, and client experience  
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and propose process improvements  
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment  
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills  
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to continuously learn new technologies and analytical approaches

Salary Range: $60,000 to $97,000 CAD
