Role Overview
An Identity Management Analyst is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and improvement of an organization’s identity and access management (IAM) systems. This role is crucial in safeguarding the organization’s digital assets, ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to sensitive information. The analyst works closely with IT security teams, compliance departments, and various business units to implement robust identity management solutions and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Identity and Access Management

Manage and maintain IAM systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and meet organizational security requirements.

Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights across multiple platforms and systems.

Monitor and respond to IAM-related incidents and requests, ensuring timely resolution.

Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and least privilege principles to minimize security risks.
2. Security and Compliance

Ensure IAM practices comply with industry standards, regulations, and organizational policies.

Conduct regular audits of user access and permissions, addressing any discrepancies or issues.

Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and guidelines related to IAM.

Participate in security incident response activities, providing expertise on IAM-related threats and vulnerabilities.
3. User Education and Support

Provide training and support to end-users on IAM processes, tools, and best practices.

Develop and maintain documentation, including user guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting resources.

Act as a point of contact for IAM-related inquiries and issues, offering guidance and assistance as needed.
Qualifications and Skills

Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

Experience with IAM tools and technologies, such as Microsoft Azure AD.

Experience with SailPoint

Proficiency in IAM concepts, including authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Detail-oriented and organized, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
