- Undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, physics, mathematics, statistics, or computer science
- Familiarity with database design and queries (Oracle/SQL) with a desire to learn
- Specific academic coursework in finance, economics, or accounting with outstanding academic achievement
- Programming skills an asset, but not required (Python, JavaScript, VBA)
- Understanding of financial pricing models and valuation of derivative products
- Solid knowledge of financial theory and risk management concepts
- Ability to attentively review, assess, and provide detailed information daily on multiple projects in an organized manner
- Able to exercise independent thought and judgment and adapt to new tasks with little notice
- Strong research and analytical skills and proven problem solver
- Self-starting, results-oriented, and highly motivated with excellent analytical skills and the ability to independently resolve complex business problems
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish and develop strong relationships at all levels across the organization to support the effective execution of business initiatives
- Aggregating, organizing, and analyzing trade data to facilitate a wide range of reporting, from high-level business overviews down to trade-level details
- Interacting and building relationships with various groups across the firm (trading desks, risk management, middle office, finance, etc.)
- Troubleshooting and solving problems within a very short timeframe
- Providing recommendations and information to senior-level business partners concerning the implementation of strategic initiatives, the structuring of transactions, product development, and the remediation and/or development of infrastructure capabilities
Client Analytics works closely with groups across Capital Markets and the enterprise, in particular the Strategy & Business Management teams, and the Data Cognition Team. This position will also include frequent interaction with Technology & Operations, Market Risk, and Finance.

The salary range for this role is $90,000 up to $95,000 CAD (subject to the candidate meeting the specific skills, experience, education, and qualification requirements)

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
