Job Summary
The Business Operations Analyst is responsible for providing key support to the Specialty Health business units to deliver on key business processes/services and ensure there is a standardized and efficient approach to delivering these services. This role acts as a liaison between finance and operations, leading billing compliance initiatives across Specialty Health business units. Additionally, the Analyst will focus on developing and maintaining dashboards to provide insights that maximize operational performance, strategies, and processes.
Specific Responsibilities
- Lead billing compliance initiatives to ensure optimal billing strategies, maximizing business potential across Specialty Health Operations.
- Liaise with contract management, finance, and business operations to monitor monthly billing activities.
- Manage billing term documents to ensure billing accuracy and alignment with updated contracting terms; identify and quantify improvements.
- Collaborate closely with operations to identify and implement efficiencies in billing processes.
- Work with operational excellence teams to develop and analyze dashboards, providing data-driven insights for informed business decisions.
- Design, develop, and publish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in Power BI to monitor progress and performance for shared services and operational excellence.
- Conduct business analyses to support high-impact strategic projects related to operational performance.
- Apply strategic and analytical thinking to deliver business insights within Operational Excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in analytics.
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing Power BI for data visualization and reporting, with a strong track record of building intuitive and insightful dashboards.
- Experience with designing, developing, and maintaining automated workflows using process automation tools (e.g., Power Automate).
Key Competencies
- Possessing a financial background, particularly with billing experience, combined with robust financial acumen in evaluating P&Ls and financial reports, is highly advantageous for ensuring precise financial management and insightful analysis.
- Expertise and knowledge in the Canadian biopharma landscape, including patient services, pharmacy programs, or related Specialty health care field is an asset.
- University degree in relevant discipline. MBA or other Master’s degree preferred.
- Recognized expertise in analytics and data-driven strategies, preferably in the healthcare sector, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business insights.
- Experienced in applying advanced principles, theories, and concepts related to analytics to complex business settings with competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills; highly people oriented; excels in a team environment.
- Creative problem solver with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; results-orientated, passionate and driven to succeed.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
