At HackerRank, we are on a mission to change the world to value skills over pedigree. We are a high-performing, mission-driven team that truly, madly, deeply cares about what we do. We don’t see velocity and quality as tradeoffs; both matter. If you take pride in high-impact work and thrive in a driven team, HackerRank is where you belong.

About the team:

The brand and corporate communications team’s role is to amplify HackerRank’s vision to the world. We are the ones who bring clarity and constant communication to our community of talent and technical professionals. We are all deeply curious about the shifts happening in the AI-era and want to leave our mark on the narrative.

About the role:

You’ll own the creation of thought leadership content that tells our AI story. Whether it’s a kernel of an idea from a brainstorm or a headline that breaks overnight in the AI world, you will be responsible for finding it, shaping it, and shipping it. Fast. We want someone who grabs the pen and never lets go.

What you’ll do:

  • Craft compelling blogs, articles, newsletters, and graphics that drive engagement and establish us as a leading voice in AI and developer communities.
  • Use data to inform editorial and brand strategies.
  • Own the end-to-end process: idea → draft → publish → amplify.
  • Work closely with our AI product and engineering teams to translate technical topics into engaging stories for a wider audience.
  • Collaborate with our CEO, product, and growth teams to amplify campaigns that align with product launches and thought leadership initiatives.

You will thrive in this role if:

You have a natural curiosity that you can not help but express through writing.

  • You excel at finding compelling story lines.
  • You are passionate about AI’s impact on software development.
  • You have a track record of quick delivery.
  • You bring a creative way of looking at the world.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity, low-lift tools, and wearing many hats.

What you bring:

  • Proven track record of thought leadership content creation, especially in the AI space.
  • Exceptional writing skills with a flair for storytelling, technical translation, and narrative voice.
  • At least 5 years experience working in or with developer-first companies (bonus if you've written for or worked with engineering teams).
  • Comfortable editing videos and crafting visual content.
  • A self-starter who doesn’t need a playbook—just a vision.
  • Has a genuine interest in AI and is actively following advancements in the field.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience as a developer or technical writer.
  • Existing network of tech influencers, bloggers, or content creators.

Current base salary range: $100,000 - $130,000. The exact salary may vary based on skills, experience, location, market ranges, and other compensation offered. The salary range does not include other compensation components, commissions (for sales-related roles), bonuses, or benefits for which you may be eligible. Salary may be adjusted based on business needs.
