Are you excited about shaping the future of AI-powered cybersecurity? At BlackCloak, we’re pioneering digital executive protection and we’re looking for a Founding AI Product Engineer to help us build, scale, and innovate.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of integrating LLMs (Large Language Models), embeddings, and AI technologies into our core product and business operations. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment, prototype, and influence our AI strategy from the ground up while collaborating with a highly motivated team of engineers, product leaders and security professionals.
What you will do
- Prototype & Experiment: Design and test new AI-driven capabilities, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
- Ship Impactful Features: Work across engineering, operations, product and security teams to deliver AI-powered product features and business workflows.
- Lead AI Innovation: Become the go-to AI expert, continuously learning and educating the team on LLMs, embeddings, and AI advancements.
- Own Technical Direction: Make key decisions on AI infrastructure, architecture, and model deployment.
- Build & Scale Engineering Standards: Establish best practices for AI and software engineering in a high-growth startup environment.
What you need to be successful
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong AI/ML focus.
- Hands-on experience with both paid and open-source LLMs, embeddings, and natural language technologies.
- Deep understanding of data pipeline technologies (Spark, Flink, Kafka, etc.).
- Proficiency in Google Cloud (Vertex AI) or AWS AI/ML technologies.
- Strong foundation in taking AI models from research to production.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communicator & team player—collaborate with engineers, product and executives.
- Startup experience or an entrepreneurial mindset—a desire to build and innovate!
