Role Summary
The Business Transformation Lead is responsible for driving complex, multi‑workstream transformation initiatives. This role bridges business strategy, execution discipline, and value realization—partnering closely with executive stakeholders while coordinating internal and external teams to deliver measurable outcomes. The successful candidate brings strong consulting experience, executive presence, and hands‑on experience standing up and overseeing transformation programs across multiple concurrent client programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Transformation Leadership
- Own and drive large‑scale business and technology transformation initiatives from discovery through execution.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable roadmaps, work plans, and delivery milestones.
- Ensure initiatives delivered under the transformation umbrella align to target‑state objectives and value outcomes.
- Identify and track value levers and measurable benefits associated with the program.
- Manage Complex, Multi‑Project Environments
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects and workstreams, ensuring alignment across timelines, dependencies, and outcomes.
- Ability to manage multiple client transformation engagements simultaneously, balancing priorities, timelines, and resource constraints.
- Define and enforce transformation governance, including standards, stage gates, reporting, and decision forums.
- Maintain and actively manage an integrated view of cross-initiative dependencies and risks that may impact overall delivery. Dependencies and risks are surfaced early and managed effectively.
- Stakeholder & Executive Engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive‑level clients, facilitating decision‑making and driving alignment.
- Lead executive workshops, steering committees, and status reviews with clarity and confidence.
- Communicate complex concepts succinctly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Drive Alignment and Communication
- Coordinate conversations across internal teams, client stakeholders, and external partners.
- Ensure consistent messaging regarding scope, priorities, and impacts across the organization.
- Proactively identify and address organizational, process, and change impacts.
- Consulting Leadership & Delivery Excellence
- Apply structured consulting approaches and methodologies to problem‑solving and delivery.
- Coach and support project and workstream leads, fostering strong collaboration and accountability.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality, clarity, and executive‑level standards.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in management consulting, transformation leadership, or equivalent roles.
- Hands-on experience in operating model transformation, technology modernization, and enterprise change
- Demonstrated experience running or leading a Transformation Office (TMO) or enterprise program governance function.
- Proven track record managing multiple complex clients and programs simultaneously.
- Strong experience working directly with executive‑level stakeholders (VP, SVP, C‑suite).
- Expertise in dependency management, portfolio planning, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent executive communication and facilitation skills.
- Experience leading cross‑functional teams across business and technology domains.
- Familiarity with structured methodologies (e.g., change management, program governance, enterprise architecture, or agile/ iterative transformation approaches.
