Citi is looking for a hands on Technical Lead to shape the engineering foundation of its Services AI Platform a multi-tenant, production-grade ecosystem where agentic AI meets enterprise scale. In this player-coach role, you will write production code and set the technical direction for the platform, ensuring it is built on principles of trust, operational resilience, and scalability. You will translate complex enterprise workflows into intelligent, automated systems that deliver measurable business impact across Citi's global operations.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build full-stack AI platform components using Python and Angular, including internal large language model fine-tuning interfaces and experiment tracking dashboards.
- Design and optimize multi-tenant intelligent agents using modular orchestration patterns — including ReAct and ReWOO — to power scalable, production-ready agentic workflows.
- Build Model Context Protocol servers that enforce clean, decoupled communication layers, ensuring agents interact exclusively through defined API boundaries without direct database access.
- Develop next-generation retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, including Knowledge Graph RAG, LightRAG, and RAPTOR hierarchical summary architectures, to enable sophisticated enterprise data retrieval.
- Integrate vector and graph databases — such as Neo4j and pgvector — to support complex, thematic data retrieval at platform scale.
- Design precise prompt and intent classification logic that prevents workflow collisions and ensures each agent instruction is handled with high accuracy.
- Partner directly with subject matter experts to translate deep domain knowledge into automated, agent-driven solutions, and collaborate with UI and API teams to deliver seamless end-to-end integrations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 10 or more years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years focused on AI and machine learning solutions delivered in production environments.
- 2 or more years of hands-on experience in Generative AI, including large language model development, retrieval-augmented generation, and prompt engineering.
- 3 or more years leading technical teams and owning delivery of complex software or AI platforms end to end.
- Deep practical experience with AWS infrastructure and services for AI and machine learning workloads.
- A demonstrated portfolio of AI solutions successfully deployed into live business environments, evidencing both technical depth and delivery ownership.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field.
