At Family Services Windsor-Essex (FSWE), we empower individuals and families through counselling, education, and community support. We’re currently inviting skilled Affiliate Counsellors to join our clinical team, providing high-quality counselling and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services to individuals, couples, families, youth, and children.

As an Affiliate Counsellor, you’ll work as an independent contractor, delivering clinical services to FSWE and FSEAP clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing short-term, solution-focused counselling and EAP clinical support
  • Conducting assessments and developing goal-oriented treatment plans
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential client documentation
  • Adhering to FSWE and EAP clinical protocols, standards, and ethical guidelines

    • Ongoing training in areas such as trauma, couples therapy, suicide intervention, and solution-focused counselling
    • Specialized workshops led by professionals with extensive experience in social work, psychotherapy, and evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, narrative, trauma-informed, and attachment-based approaches)
    • Access to peer-led learning and mentorship opportunities from counsellors across diverse practice backgrounds
  • Supportive and inclusive workplace culture that values innovation, learning, and collaboration

What You Bring

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Counselling Psychology
  • Registration in good standing with the OCSWSSW or CRPO
  • Experience providing counselling to individuals, couples, families, youth, and children
  • EAP experience and/or experience supporting seniors and adults with disabilities is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of community resources and social service systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, assessment, and therapeutic skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team-based organization
  • Bilingualism in French or Arabic considered a strong asset
