In this role, you will have an impact on the company's success by ensuring the effective execution and delivery of complex engineering projects, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. At Honeywell, our Project Engineers play a critical role in developing and supporting our products and ensuring they meet customer requirements.
You will report directly to one of our Senior Engineering Managers and you will work out of our Cambridge, ON location on a hybrid work schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and manage complex engineering projects from initiation to completion
• Provide technical guidance and support to project team members
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
• Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery
• Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders
The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP and CSP clearance.
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering, science, technology, or mathematics
• 1 year of experience in project management activities for projects involving the development of software & electronic products
• 4 years of experience developing software & electronic products, preferably for the space/aerospace industry and in the area of optics, RF, and/or robotics
• Experience in risk management and problem-solving
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies
• Willingness to dig into the technical details, learn whatever is needed to be successful, and take ownership and demonstrate accountability for the programs/projects under your control
WE VALUE
• A technical engineering background in the space, aerospace, or defense industry
• Experience/knowledge of optics, optical electronics, optical assemblies, etc.
• Experience with NPI (New Product Introduction)

The annual base salary range for this position is $94,400 to $125,800 in Cambridge, ON. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
