Job Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent function-related training.
- 5 years related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Adept at installing and supporting industrial automation software, specifically Rockwell and Omron.
- Proficient with supporting CAD applications including NX, Catia, Solidworks, Draftsight, and Keycreator.
- Working knowledge of Veeam backup and recovery functionality.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows and Linux) and server management.
- Excellent English communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with all departments in the company.
DESIRABLE ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
(Optional) - Preferred but not required
- Familiarity with manufacturing software (i.e. SAP, MES, WMS, MRP)
- Scripting and automation skills with Bash, PowerShell, and Python
- Experience with monitoring and management tools such as Nagios.
- Experience with Cisco switches, wireless controllers and access points.
- Automotive manufacturing experience.
MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
This position focuses on application support (Industrial Automation and CAD)
- Install and support industrial automation applications to support production and maintenance.
- Provide support for CAD applications including NX, Catia, Solidworks, Draftsight, and Keycreator
- Monitor server and network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security compliance.
- Manage and maintain physical and virtual servers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Perform regular server and switch updates ensure security compliance.
- Maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.
- Test backup and recovery solutions to ensure data availability.
- Ensure business continuity through redundancy and failover mechanisms.
- Provide user support with other applications and hardware including cell phones.
- Responsible for backup and recovery of servers, applications and file shares.
- Responsible for documenting and maintaining network diagrams.
- Provide backup support for fellow team members to resolve issues.
- Provide on-call technical support and on-site technical support for Mytox Personnel during NON normal Business hours as required
