Be the Backbone of Our Pension Administration Team
Why This Role Matters
Ever wondered who keeps complex pension systems running smoothly so thousands of people can retire with confidence? That's where you come in.
At TELUS Health, we're not just processing paperwork—we're providing peace of mind to plan members, administrators, and fund managers navigating the complex world of retirement benefits. As an Administrative Assistant on our Defined Benefit Pension Administration team, you'll be the essential link that keeps everything flowing seamlessly.
What you’ll do

You'll be the organizational powerhouse who:

  • Keeps data flowing – Manage critical information across our Ariel pension administration platform and Excel systems, knowing that accuracy here means someone's retirement is protected

  • Connects people to their benefits – Coordinate mass communications that help members understand their pension options

  • Solves problems proactively – Spot opportunities to streamline processes and make the team more efficient

  • Supports the bigger picture – From monthly client billing to special projects, you'll see how your work directly impacts client satisfaction

  • Keeps operations humming – Handle the essential day-to-day tasks (mail distribution, filing, supplies) that keep a busy team productive

  • Steps up when needed – Provide backup support to fellow administrative professionals and even jump on call centre relief when the team needs you

What you bring

You're someone who:

  • Thrives in a dynamic environment – Juggling multiple priorities energizes rather than overwhelms you

  • Sweats the details – You know that in pension administration, precision isn't just nice to have—it's everything

  • Brings experience to the table – Post-secondary education OR 2+ years of relevant administrative experience

  • Works smart, not just hard – You take initiative, work independently, and collaborate beautifully with your team

  • Masters the tools – MS Office Suite (especially Excel) is your playground, and you're comfortable with office technology

  • Communicates with polish – Whether written or verbal, you express yourself clearly and professionally

  • Puts customers first – You understand that behind every form is a real person counting on us

Nice to have

  • Experience in group benefits or the pension industry (you'll hit the ground running!)

Bilingual skills in English and French (opens doors to serve more clients)

Salary Range: $ 35,000 - $45,000

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply, even if the posted salary range doesn't match your expectations. We're open to discussing competitive compensation packages tailored to your experience level and expertise.

TELUS Health offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:

  • Comprehensive total rewards package highlighting competitive salary and bonus structures, minimum 3 weeks of vacation, and flexible benefits plan to meet the needs of you and your family

  • Flexibility to work in-office, virtually or a combination of both

  • Generous company matched pension

  • Opportunity to give back to communities in which we work, live and serve

  • Career growth and learning & development opportunities to develop your skills

  • And much more…
