What you'll be doing

CIBC’s Wood Gundy is a full-service brokerage division of CIBC serving our high-net-worth clientele. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to an Investment Advisor in our Wood Gundy brokerage. You’ll work closely on an administrative level with the Investment Advisor (IA) and their team as they plan and manage client investments. You’ll play a key part in supporting and servicing high-net-worth client accounts. You’ll provide ongoing support to a team that goes above and beyond for their clients.  This position is a great opportunity to learn the investment business in a professional, dynamic work environment with one of Canada's leading brokerages.

How you'll succeed

  • Administrative Support - Maintain compliance standards when dealing with clients or handling client files. Perform administrative duties and participate in administrative processes related to Investment Advisor and team support.

  • Analytical Skills - Interpret, validate and execute internal and external client requests by establishing new client signature delegations or modifying existing client signature delegations for complex corporate structures, review existing files, and correct documentation deficiencies.

  • Critical Thinking - Verify documents in accordance with established signature delegation procedures to confirm that documents received from clients are complete and properly signed. Enable and document the implementation of new products and changes to existing products. Close gaps in signing authority documents, escalate unresolved issues or engage appropriate internal partners to facilitate resolution. 

  • Engagement - Build a personal rapport so that every interaction is meaningful. Strengthen relationships by working with your team and providing administrative support to ensure customer needs are met. Follow through on requests by answering questions and providing an exceptional experience.

  • Organizational Skills - Support Investment Advisor by responding quickly to client requests and maintaining compliance standards on all files.
