Job Description

Job Summary

An Administrative Assistant with our Claims Department in Toronto is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support to the department’s Lawyers and Claims Examiners. This new position is a hybrid role, with 1-2 days per week expected in-person at 200 Bay Street in Toronto.Job Responsibilities
  • Preparing routine documentation and correspondence for a group of Claims Examiners and Lawyers
  • Creating reports and tracking departmental data
  • Handling confidential information with significant discretion and judgment
  • Sending out and tracking couriers and express post packages
  • Photocopying, printing and scanning documents.
  • Closing Claim files as per the closing procedures.
  • Assisting Claims Examiners with administrative support as required
  • Incoming and Outgoing mail
  • Answering all incoming Claims calls
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of administrative experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Effectively interacts within a team setting
  • Resourceful nature
  • Good computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel) advanced knowledge of Excel is required

Salary Range45,000 to 50,000 annually
