What you’ll accomplish with usAs an Actuarial Co-op Student, you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:- Participate in month-end and quarter-end valuation activities, including running reserves and updating spreadsheets for earnings analysis.
- Conduct actuarial analyses and assist with gains and losses reviews.
- Support special projects such as profitability studies and trend analysis.
- Assist with the production of various reports by gathering and organizing required information.
- Respond to data requests and provide technical support to actuarial analysts and advisors.
- Is known for their strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Stands out for their attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Excel, Access, Python, and R (GLMs, tidyverse).
- Is recognized for their ability to manipulate large data sets and familiarity with SQL.
- Has previous office experience and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in actuarial science.
- Asset: Knowledge of IFRS 17 and/or AXIS.
- Availability: Full-time for 8 months, flexible start date.

The typical hiring range for this position is between $30.00 and $34.00 CAD per hour; the base salary offered may vary depending on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity related to the role.
