We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our Finance team and take on a very exciting role at Gore Mutual. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of the agency bill accounts receivable function.

What you will do:

  • Receiving and applying broker payments; accurate management of funds 
  • ​Performing tasks related to workflows to support Accounts Receivable functions including Broker Bill (examples incl. but not limited to: billing changes, refunds, delinquencies, investigation of discrepancies, etc.) 
  • ​Reconciliation of accounts including exceptions, adjustments, and monthly statement balancing 
  • ​Assist corporate accounting team with bank/ account reconciliations and in investigating discrepancies on an ad-hoc basis
  • ​Detection, resolution, and escalation of accounts receivable discrepancies 
  • ​Liaise underwriting and broker development team for operational and broker matters to promote seamless customer service 
  • ​Support excellence in customer service, both internally with Gore Department/ Finance Team and Externally with Brokers​​ 
  • ​Provide training and support to new hires/ finance team on accounts receivable responsibilities 
  • ​Act as technical expert with regards to accounts receivable processes relating to all workflows to support Finance and underwriting for inquires/ questions, etc.  
  • ​Participate in accounts receivable/ finance initiatives related to the accountabilities outlines above (examples could include new portal setup, banking/ payment initiatives, process review/ changes, etc.) 
  • ​Assist on projects as required 

 What you will need to succeed

  • Post secondary education in business related studies preferred
  • 1+ years of customer service preferred
  • 3 years of accounts receivable /payment application and reconciliation of accounts
  • Insurance Experience preferred

The expected base salary range for this position is $52,500 - $86,500. Depending on your relevant experience, skills, qualifications, market conditions and business needs, base compensation may vary. You have the potential to earn more through Gore Mutual’s discretionary bonus program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.

Please note: This range reflects the expected base salary for this role but may not represent the full compensation range for all experience and skill levels. During the recruitment process, we will discuss and consider how your unique qualifications align with the broader range for this position.
