The Role At A Glance:

    As the Accounting Assistant on the Accounts Receivable side, you will keep the day-to-day of Dulcedo's receivables moving: payments posted, invoices issued, follow-ups sent, and the finance inbox under control.

    This is a junior role built for someone early in their accounting career who wants real volume, real systems, and real mentorship. You will own the administrative backbone of the AR function — sorting and triaging the finance inbox, posting receipts and payments, issuing and filing invoices, chasing missing documents, and staying on top of invoices that have slipped past their due date.

    You will report into Finance leadership and work side by side with the AR team, taking on the recurring daily work so the team can focus on more complex accounts and collection files. As you get comfortable, you will also gain exposure to the payable side and to how a full finance function runs end to end.

    The ideal candidate is organized, curious, and comfortable doing repetitive work well - the kind of person who notices when something doesn't tie out and says so.

Your Role In Action

  • Inbox Command: Sort, triage, and route the finance inbox daily so nothing sits, nothing gets lost, and the right person sees the right file first.

  • Receipt Posting: Post incoming payments and receipts accurately and on schedule, keeping customer accounts clean and up to date.

  • Invoicing Support: Prepare, issue, and file client and brand invoices with a high standard of accuracy.

  • Overdue Follow-Up: Track invoices past their due date, send first-line reminders, and keep the aging picture current for the team.

  • Account Monitoring: Keep an eye on open balances and unapplied payments, and flag anything that doesn't reconcile.

  • Documentation Tracking: Chase missing purchase orders, backup, and approvals, and keep supporting documents organized and easy to retrieve.

  • Administrative Backbone: Handle the recurring administrative work of the Finance team — filing, data entry, spreadsheet upkeep, and general support.

  • Internal Support: Answer routine billing questions from agents, Talent Management, and Operations, and escalate anything more complex to the AR team.

  • Payable Exposure: Lend a hand on the payable side as needed, building a full view of the finance cycle as you grow into the role.

  • Process Curiosity: Flag repetitive steps, recurring errors, and small friction points, and bring ideas on how to clean them up.

What You’re Bringing With You

  • Around 1 year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, or finance administration; internships and co-op terms count;

  • A DEC, AEC, or certificate in accounting, or equivalent hands-on experience;

  • Comfort with high-volume, detail-heavy work and a genuine sense of ownership over accuracy;

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep several small deadlines moving at once;

  • Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets;

  • Exposure to an ERP or accounting system; NetSuite experience is a plus but not required;

  • Clear, polite written communication — a good part of this role is following up with people;

  • Discretion when handling financial and talent-related information;

  • A curious approach and a real interest in learning how a finance team works;

  • Bilingual in French and English.
