We are looking for a hands-on Intermediate Accounting and Financial Analyst to support full-cycle accounting, month-end close, AP/AR oversight, loan interest schedules, credit card tracking, and multi-currency transactions, investment-related accounting as well as. In addition this role will help with with annual budget preparations and periodic forecasts.

What You'll Do:

• Record and post journal entries, month‑end and year‑end close, and maintain the general ledger.
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts (cash, AP, AR, accruals, and support audits.
• Help maintain and improve internal controls over AP/AR and other accounting processes.
• Generate and issue AR interest invoices credit notes, and statements in a timely manner.
• Monitor receivables, prepare aging reports, and follow up on overdue accounts to support cash flow.   Record investment transactions (gains/losses, deposits, withdrawals).
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for related group of companies.
• Process, verify, and code vendor invoices in line with company policies and approvals.
• Schedule and execute invoice payments (including bank transfers, ACH, cheques) and ensure timely settlement of vendor balances.
• Reconcile AP sub‑ledger to the general ledger, review vendor statements, and resolve discrepancies.

• Support preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, including revenue, expenses, and working‑capital assumptions.
• Perform variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and provide clear commentary for management.
• Analyze AP/AR trends and recommend actions to optimize cash flow and working capital.
• Prepare management reports and dashboards with key KPIs and support ad‑hoc financial modeling.
• Contribute to process improvements and AI workflow enhancements.  Identify repetitive accounting and reporting tasks suitable for automation (invoice matching, reconciliations, report generation).
• Help implement and test AI‑enabled or rule‑based tools (RPA, AI OCR, intelligent workflows) in AP/AR and reporting.

What You'll Bring to Maropost:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in accounting, with hands‑on AP and AR responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and transactional cycles (order‑to‑cash, procure‑to‑pay).
• Proficiency with Excel and experience in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, or similar).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot independently in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy as well as have an analytical sense with large volumes of data.
• Interest in or openness to automation and AI tools (RPA, machine‑learning‑aided workflows, intelligent data extraction).
