As a vital member of the iFinance Canada Finance Team, the Accounting Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative and basic accounting support to the Finance team, ensuring data quality and timely recording of loans related transactions which are all key factors contributing to the company’s financial success. This is a role that lets you utilize your brain power to think critically and act promptly. Our ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, extraordinary attention to detail and will have great interpersonal skills as this role involves a high level of interdepartmental collaboration. What will you do?
- Administrative Accounting Work: Responsible for activations of loans, generating statements of accounts, tracking of all protection-plan claim inquiries and cancellations and timely recording of bankruptcies and processing of proof of claims
- Posting of receivables: Processing manual payments from borrowers and timely and accurate posting of loan payments received from borrowers
- Audit Preparation: Support securitization tranche audits and year-end financial audit by providing necessary documents and explanations
- Ad hoc: Work on special projects based on departmental and company/business needs including new accounting software system implementation, upgrades and other ad-hoc requests
What will you need to succeed?
- Experience in administrative role preferably in Accounting
- College diploma in a related field is an asset
- Attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel & MS Suite
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective and efficient written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and/or experience in the financial industry is an asset
Schedule
Monday – Friday: 5 days on site with 1 optional day to work from home
