The Role
BinSentry is seeking an Accountant who thrives in an agile environment and is eager to learn full-cycle accounting and help build scalable processes. This is a hands-on role with significant growth potential, ideal for someone who is ready to build their skills, grow into ownership of key accounting functions, and make an impact.
Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts & Allocations: Support general ledger accounts including deferred revenue, inventory, and COGS.
  • Month-End Close: Preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with variance analysis.
  • Audit Support: Prepare supporting schedules and respond to external auditor requests to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
  • Process Improvement: Document current processes and suggest improvements to accounting processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy as the company scales.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with other departments, including Operations, Sales, and Development.
  • Day-to-Day Accounting: Process vendor bills, and manage customer billing and master data in NetSuite.

What Success Looks Like
In your first year you will:

  • Own an assigned set of month-end close tasks, delivering clean, accurate reconciliation on time each month.
  • Establish strong working relationships across Operations, Sales, and Development to provide actionable accurate reporting and analysis, and operational alignment.
  • Learn and document core accounting processes and suggest improvements as BinSentry grows.

Qualifications
Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of accounting experience (Co-op and internship experience count).
  • Working towards your CPA designation.
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) is a must.
  • Ability to demonstrate logic and analytical skills to identify and solve problems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to perform under tight timelines with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Co-op or internship experience with month-end close, reconciliations, or audit support.
