We are seeking a proactive and energetic Account Manager to drive growth by building meaningful connections and creating qualified opportunities across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Southwestern Ontario (London, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, Windsor, and surrounding areas). This is a highly activity-focused role, ideal for someone who thrives on networking, prospecting, and supporting senior BD team members in expanding our presence in the region.

What you'll do

  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and social networking sessions across the GTA and Southwestern Ontario to represent the company and generate leads.
  • Build connections, collect contacts, and follow up with calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to secure meetings.
  • Conduct research on prospects and accounts before outreach to ensure highly personalized and relevant messaging.
  • Constantly prospect through outbound activity: phone calls, tailored emails, and LinkedIn campaigns.
  • Support senior BD team members with pre-call research, meeting preparation, and follow-up tasks.
  • Maintain and manage all contacts, activities, and opportunities in the CRM, ensuring data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Gather market and competitor intelligence from events and conversations, sharing insights with the BD team.
  • Collaborate closely with a highly talented engineering team to understand our solutions and translate complex technical concepts into clear value for prospects.
  • Track and report on key metrics, such as meetings booked, pipeline progress, and outreach activity.

What you'll need

  • 1–3 years of experience in B2B business development, sales, or client-facing roles.
  • Strong communication, research, and networking skills.
  • Willingness to learn and understand complex engineering and technical concepts to confidently engage with prospects.
  • Comfortable with high levels of outbound activity and attending frequent events.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with experience using a CRM system.
  • Energetic, proactive, and resilient personality.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the GTA and Southwestern Ontario.
