Job Description

Position Overview

Reporting to VP, West Coast, the Account Manager role is responsible for developing top-tier West Coast accounts primarily in the Consumer Electronics and Medical Device industries. This role blends complex technical problems, a consultative solution-based selling culture and exposure to world-renowned technology organizations we proudly call our Customers. This highly visible, cross-functional role is a great opportunity to showcase your skills within all departments of Averna and across the globe.

The successful candidate will:

  • Identify/develop prospect accounts and maintain/grow existing accounts,
  • Build/execute account plans through collaboration with internal teams (Marketing, Operations, etc.),
  • Work with cross-functional Averna teams to develop system level custom solutions concepts,
  • Coordinate with Asia-based Averna teams to support our Clients’ global operations,
  • Forecast/report sales,
  • Maintain quota accountability.

This position is based out of our San Jose, CA office. 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate in a few words

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Optical, Electrical preferred)
  • 5+ years of Account management experience of Fortune 500 OEM Clients
  • Experience with automation applications including precision mechanics and optical systems
  • Demonstrable experience in consultative technology solution selling capital equipment to OEMs/CMs
  • Technical understanding of automation, test, & measurement equipment concepts
  • Key Account business development skills including qualifying customer fit to the company’s capabilities and driving internal teams to meet customer requirements
  • A solid understanding of the engineering design and manufacturing processes
  • Previous experience in an engineering design role highly preferred
  • Permanent work authorization in the USA required
  • Travel up to 20% of the time.

S150k/yr - $180k/yr + Bonus
