Job Description

In collaboration with the Sales Manager, the Account Manager is responsible for driving commercial growth across an assigned territory by strengthening relationships with retail travel agency partners, identifying new business opportunities, and representing Transat Tours Canada in the marketplace.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail travel agency partners to stimulate sales growth and increase market share.
  • Execute regular sales calls and manage the assigned territory strategically, prioritizing opportunities based on partner potential.
  • Identify, support, and develop new business opportunities, including potential group travel business.
  • Gather, analyze, and communicate market intelligence, trends, competitive activities, and partner feedback.
  • Deliver engaging presentations, product training sessions, and webinars to travel agency partners.
  • Represent Transat Tours Canada at industry events, trade shows, consumer events, and networking functions.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity records in the CRM system and participate actively in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Manage regional marketing initiatives and budgets, track return on investment, and support social media activities that promote sales objectives.

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in Travel and Tourism, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience within the travel industry, preferably with a tour operator.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying and developing business opportunities.
  • Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, territory management, and time management skills.
  • Must reside in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), possess a valid driver's license, and have access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (including PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Copilot), CRM platforms, digital collaboration tools, and social media marketing platforms.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. French is considered an asset.

Additional Information

  • Frequent travel within and outside the assigned territory is required, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends, as required.
