About the RoleAs an Account Executive at Float, you will play a critical role in scaling our go-to-market motion by closing high-quality, repeatable deals with speed and consistency. This role is built for sellers who are passionate about fintech, product-obsessed, thrive in usage- and consumption-based environments, and enjoy selling to SMB and lower mid-market customers (roughly 50–200 employees).
You’ll sell Float’s business finance platform to Canadian businesses, working closely with their finance teams to clearly convey value and ROI. You’ll run a consultative but efficient sales motion, partnering with the SDR team to build and progress pipeline, and collaborating closely with the Activation team to support implementation and ensure customers fully realize the value of Float post-sale. This is an opportunity for someone passionate about Canadian startups and fintech to have a career-defining moment.
What You’ll DoWork with Canadian businesses roughly ranging from 50-200 employees and own the full sales cycle from first conversation to close, managing a high volume of active opportunities.
Sell Float using a consultative, value-led approach, deeply understanding customer workflows, pain points, and convey how Float’s product will save them time, money and drive revenue for their business.
Run structured, repeatable discovery and demos that clearly connect Float’s product capabilities to real customer outcomes.
Develop a strong understanding of Float’s product and customers accounting workflows, becoming an expert in how customers use and expand within a consumption-based platform.
Maintain strong pipeline hygiene, forecasting accuracy, and disciplined follow-up in Salesforce.Partner closely with Float’s Activation team to ensure not only smooth handoffs but strong adoption and usage post sale.

2-4 years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience, ideally in a high-growth or startup environment.
Experience selling in usage-based, or consumption-based products.
Proven success selling to SMB or lower mid-market customers (50–200 employees).
Strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
Comfort managing a busy pipeline with multiple deals at different stages.
Ability to clearly articulate ROI, trade-offs, and next steps in a straightforward, customer-first way.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to different stakeholders.
Nice to Haves
Fintech, payments, spend management, or financial operations sales experience.
Background in accounting, finance, or working closely with finance teams.
Experience selling to Canadian SMBs.
Deeply product-obsessed and enjoy understanding how customers actually use what they buy.
